Grade 5 Moving-Up Ceremony
The three Grade 5 classes took part on Friday, June 9, 2023 in the celebration of their transition to Middle School. The ceremony took place in the school Theater and was followed by a reception for students and families in Athletic Center Dining Hall.
During the ceremony, Ms. Rachel Rubio, our PS-ES Assistant Principal, on behalf of the Elementary School Leadership Team, congratulated Grade 5 for the end of this stage in their academic life and invited them to be open to everything new that Middle School will bring to their lives. “Take chances and try new things, this is the time to grow and explore who you can be in the future,” she said.
In their speeches, teachers underlined the amazing growth and maturity students have achieved to be ready for Middle School. After receiving the diplomas, students performed the song Best Day of my Life conducted by the Performing Arts teacher Mr. Raúl Marco.
Congratulations to all of the Grade 5 students and their families, and get ready through the summer for the start of Grade 6 in September 2023.
Kinder Celebration
Kinder classes celebrated the end of Preschool by holding a shared graduation ceremony in the Theater on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Ms. Rachel Rubio, our PS-ES Assistant Principal and on behalf of the Preschool Team, congratulated our Kinder graduates and invited them to enjoy this new step into their education at ASV: becoming first graders in September 2023!
There was a class performance on stage and then students went to the school Atrium to have the individual photos with the Kinder diploma taken. Students participated in some learning activities while parents enjoyed refreshments and food.
