American School of Valencia is accredited by the Middle States Association, Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). Our school is registered in Spain as a centro extranjero complying with all the requirements for international schools established by the Ministerio de Educación and the Conselleria d’Educació of the Generalitat Valenciana (Valencian regional government). In addition, ASV is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to offer the IB Diploma Program.

The Mediterranean Association of International Schools is a professional organization that strives to improve the quality of education in its member schools. It promotes the professional development of Faculty, Administrators, and School Board Members, effects communication and interchange, and creates international understanding. Presently, MAIS is composed of schools from 17 different countries in Europe and North Africa.
The European League for Middle Level Education (ELMLE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting middle level education. Founded in 1986, ELMLE is an international affiliate of the United States’ Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE).
The European Sports Conference (ESC) is an association of twelve international schools in Europe that cooperate to organize athletic competitions involving students in Middle and High School.The ESC aims to provide opportunities for varsity teams in international schools located in Europe to meet in specified tournament activities on a competitive basis.
ACADE (Association of Private Education Institutions), is a business organization founded in 1978 with the aim to defend and promote non-subsidized private education. It represents over 4,000 private educational centers spread throughout Spain.
