Grade equivalencies

The American curriculum is organized in four learning stages or divisions: Preschool, Elementary School, Middle School and High School. Compared to the national programs, there are some differences in the age in which each stage begins. See the table below in case you need to see which stage your child has completed in his current school.

This table shows the grade levels at the American School of Valencia and the equivalent grades in other national systems. ASV places students considering the previous grade level completed; age or birth date do not determine the grade level.
