One project supported by the ASV Foundation is the improvement of Kapita School in rural Zambia. The ASV Foundation and other organizations working with this community recently received a letter from its director, Mr. Gilbert Mwale, describing the outstanding change provided by the construction of a new school building.
To mention a few facts, Mr. Mwale reported that the new facility had a clear impact on enrollment (with 119 more students in 2017), daily attendance (which was 76% at the old school and now is 91%), and reading levels (improving due to daily attendance and better learning environment). In addition to this, Kapita students in 7th Grade achieved a 100% pass rate in the National Examination.
