Group of Erasmus+ students at the ASV Atrium

ASV is Hosting a Group of Erasmus+ Students

American School of Valencia is collaborating with Sint Maria Geel in Belgium to host an Erasmus+ practicum experience for students in their last year of completing the Belgian national baccalaureate. Eleven students began on Monday, April 22, their practicum experience with different classes in preschool and elementary school. They will be collaborating with ASV faculty and staff for two weeks.

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. During their experience at ASV, the Erasmus+ students will have an opportunity to shadow an educational role, learn what teachers’ and other professionals’ roles consist of, and become familiar with cutting-edge practices in education.

Sint Maria Geel offers three innovative educational pathways in secondary education: students can take one of three itineraries focused on Economics and Organization, Language and Culture, or Society and Welfare. The school is part of a larger educational school group, Kogeka, and its campus is located in Geel, in the Flanders region of Belgium.

This is the third year ASV has hosted this Erasmus+ group of students from Sint Maria Geel, and is the first of two visits during the 2024-2025 Academic Year. The second group will visit in May 2024.

We are excited to welcome these Erasmus+ students to Valencia and continue our productive and enduring partnership with Sint Maria Geel.
