A huge well done to the ASV Track and Field team for their performance in the Valencia International Schools Track and Field Championship. The ASV team consisted of students from Grades 6 to 9 captained by Lauren Vorhees from Grade 9. The team did a fantastic job of collaborating well and supporting each other throughout the day while also showing a respectful attitude towards the other competing schools Cambridge House, Caxton College, Los Olivos English School and The British School of La Cañada.
This was our third year participating in the VIS Track and Field Championship and the day resulted in our highest ever number of event winners! Congratulations to;
- Ines Sogo (Grade 7) – Junior Girl’s Triple Jump Champion
- Victor Fernandez (Grade 6) – Junior Boy’s 400 Metre Champion
- Candela Galindez (Grade 7) – Junior Girl’s Shot Putt Champion
- Victor Fernandez (Grade 6), Miguel Estrems (Grade 7), Daniel Domingo (Grade 7) and Jacobo Bultó (Grade 7) – Junior Boys 4 x 100 Metre Relay Champions
- Sophie Lodmell – Senior Girls Triple Jump Champion.
