This past Saturday our Boys and Girls Junior Varsity Soccer Teams and our Girls Varsity Team competed in the Copa Ibérica (Iberian Cup) along with the American School of Madrid, the American School of Barcelona and Cambridge House School. Matches took place all day from 09.30 until 18.30. The event was really well attended by families from Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona with a total of around 250 players and spectators who were treated to a pizza lunch!
Great results again from our teams who show immense character as well as ability. Our Varsity girls add another title to there impressive list and on Saturday managed to beat a very tough Cambridge House team despite being two goals down with ten minutes remaining as Alejandra Planells scored three goals in seven minutes!
Meanwhile our very impressive female staff (plus Marta Ortiz’s mum) basketball team took on our Varisty girls and Mike organised an excellent scrimmage game featuring our Varsity team and friends.
All in all an excellent day of sport!
