Between March 8 and 10, 2024, thirty-seven ASV student-delegates in Grades 7, 8, 9, and 10 participated in American School of Madrid’s Model United Nations (MADMUN) conference where over two hundred and fifty delegates participated. Students from nine international schools similar to ASV debated and discussed global issues in six different committees such as security council, youth and health and political.
ASV student-delegates submitted eight resolutions meaning that the majority of their initial ideas were brought before a lobbying group were adopted and were then used to create a new resolution to be debated. Four of those resolutions passed.
At the closing ceremony three ASV student-delegatess received honorable mentions and two others won awards for most improved delegate and best delegate in their respective committees. All in all the conference was very enriching and rewarding experience.
