A New Edition of the Enriching Partnership with Sint Marie School
ASV is welcoming four students from Sint Maria Geel (SMG), a secondary school in Flanders (Belgium) who partners with our school to offer an Erasmus+ learning experience for their Grade 12 students before they graduate. The four students are Merel N., Noor V., Marie M., and Hajar Z. During their two and three weeks stays at ASV, they will be integrated in the normal activity of Kinder and Grade 3 classes, the School Office, and the Marketing and Communications Office.
On Monday morning, they had onboarding activities including a campus tour before joining their positions. “All four are excited about this wonderful adventure,” Mr. Hans Geert described during their first day at ASV. “Thank you to the ASV Community for having a team of our motivated trainees seniors,” he stated.
ASV’s Director of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum, Amanda Bird, has been organizing this practicum experience with Sint Maria Geel students for the last four years and shares that “each year, the relationships we build with partner schools make such a positive impact on our ASV community. The students who complete their practicum with us work hard and want to learn everything they can from their mentors. It is always a pleasure welcoming them to our school and helping them discover what it means to work in specific areas.”
