The ASV Class of 2022 Achieves the Best PCE Results in ASV History

Grade 12 students taking the PCE Exams (Pruebas de Competencia Específica) were informed about their results this past Wednesday, June 22, 2022. ASV is pleased to announce that the Class of 2022 cohort has achieved an extraordinary Final University Entrance Grade of 8.81 points (out of 10), the highest PCE (formerly called Selectividad) result in ASV history.

ASV students completing the American High School Diploma are required to take the PCE Exams if they wish to apply for a Spanish public university. For all international schools, PCE is offered and administered by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) and usually takes place during the fourth week of May.

Thirty (30) ASV students were registered for the 2022 PCE Exams. Nine students, or 30 percent of the Grade 12 cohort, scored a 13 or higher (out of 14), and one student earned a perfect score of 14 points for the first time in ASV’s history. Furthermore, another three students earned the second, third and fourth highest individual PCE results in the range of 13.93 to 13.82 (out of 14). This is the sixth consecutive year that ASV students have earned a PCE result of 8.22 or higher, which serves as a testament to the commitment to excellence that ASV endeavors to offer year after year.

These final PCE results provide our graduates with the best options in the admissions process to enter Spanish universities. Students following the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program will know their results in the 2022 IB External Exams on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

Please, join us in congratulating our graduates, their families, and our dedicated team of world-class educators.

This post was updated on July 11, 2022, to include a higher Entrance Final Grade (8.81 instead of 8.79) due to the modification of some individual results after the revision process.
