The ASV Art Department Joins “The Big Draw Festival”

The  ASV Art Department is joining The 2021 Big Draw Festival by promoting a number of art activities in Elementary School, Middle School, and High School which will take place from October 25 to 29, 2021.  Students in all these divisions will have a chance to feel the vibe of art and drawing in special lessons and activities coordinated by the ASV MS-HS Art Teacher,  Ms. Christina Georgiou, Ms. Rhona Stapleton, and Ms. Jackie Paarhuis.

“The Big Draw Festival is a worldwide celebration of drawing as a tool for learning, expression, and invention,” Ms. Georgiou says when she presents the event. “The festival is made up of thousands of creative events, activities, and workshops across the globe. The 2021 edition has a motto: #MakeTheChange, inviting all of us to explore and discover ways to live in balance with the world around”.

At ASV, Elementary classes will have extra art lessons on Tuesday and Thursday offered by Ms. Georgiou and additionally, a group of IB Art students as part of their CAS activities. Middle and High School classes will have their activities on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.  Students will embark on projects using mediums such as painting, printing, and sculpture.
