As a part of our annual recognition of the American tradition of Thanksgiving Day, ASV celebrated this holiday on Thursday, November 28, 2024, by holding special activities in some sections. Here is a brief recap:
- Preschool Classes: Our preschool students embraced this spirit with creative crafts! They painted colorful turkeys and made festive Thanksgiving-themed crowns, look how dashing they look!
- Classroom doors decorated: In Elementary, our teachers and students decorated their doors or their hallways with thanksgiving motifs.
- Special menu for students: ASV students celebrated Thanksgiving with a special festive menu featuring roasted turkey, potatoes, and green peas. This delicious meal brought a touch of holiday tradition to the cafeteria!
- Middle School Gratitude Tree: The MS Student Council unveiled the Gratitude Tree, a heartwarming initiative that celebrates the spirit of Thanksgiving and the strength of our ASV community.
- Professional-Development Day: As announced in the academic calendar, students did not have classes on Friday and faculty-staff participated in the annual Professional Development Day, a journey filled with workshops designed to enhance teaching techniques and professional skills.
Thanksgiving is one of the most important holidays in American culture Regardless of the many nationalities in our school community, this day is an opportunity to feel grateful for many things in our lives.
