Thanksgiving Celebrations

Like many other American and international schools, ASV celebrated Thanksgiving, a very traditional American holiday, on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Preschool and Elementary classes had some learning and art activities connected with the day. Students in Grade 5 completed a nice initiative: the Thanksgiving Tree (top picture). Its paper leaves, previously painted by those students, had appreciation messages collected from Kinder through Grade 5 where all students expressed their gratitude for the good things in life.

All of the students also enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon served by Colevisa, the school partner for the dining service.

Professional Development Day 2022

While students were enjoying a school holiday on Friday, November 25, 2022 during the Thanksgiving Break, ASV faculty-staff participated in the annual ASV Professional Development Day. The 2022 edition of PD Day offered specific-division workshops, a review of the ASV child protection protocols, a Shelter in Place drill, and finished with a Thanksgiving luncheon for all faculty-staff members.
