Dear ASV Community:
On behalf of the American School of Valencia Foundation, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your outstanding participation and support of the Foundation’s first Halloween Party on Friday October 31, 2014. The party was a wonderful example of what we mean when we talk about the ASV Community and your support and attendance are appreciated beyond measure. We are evaluating the final attendance results, and it appears that we sold over 800 entry tickets to a broad spectrum of our school and local community. This Halloween Party, and similar ASV Foundation activities, serve as positive examples of what we are capable of achieving together as a community in support of the Foundation’s Mission of, “Creating opportunities through languages, education and community service.”
Of course, none of this would have been possible without your generous support, as well as the hard work and dedication of many of our community members and contributors. I would especially like to thank the following for their time, dedication, energy and commitment to the American School of Valencia Foundation:
ASV parent volunteers
ASV staff volunteers
ASV Student Council and numerous student volunteers
Universitat Politècnica de València Fine Arts students
American Space of Valencia
ASV Foundation Board
We also recognize that there are areas where we can improve, such as the waiting times to enter the Haunted House and offering a different version of the Haunted House to younger children. So, we are already planning on improvements for next year’s Halloween Party in October 2015.
The proceeds from this event will support the ASV Foundation’s activities, including supporting Model United Nation’s programs (VALMUN, MADMUN and THIMUN), as well as a host of other activities and events in the Valencian Community.
In closing, please accept our heartfelt thanks for all of your support. It is our most fervent hope that events such as this Halloween Party continue to create a sense of community and family that have always been the hallmark of the American School of Valencia.
With kindest regards,
Dr. Alberto Domingo
President, American School of Valencia
