Talk about Responsible Pet Ownership

Three representatives of SOS Sagunto, an charity running a dog shelter, visited our campus on Monday, January 18, 2015, and offered an informative talk about responsible pet ownership. The activity was addressed to students in grades 7 and 8 and the presentation revealed them important facts like that Spain is the second European country in terms of pet abandonment and 9,000 organizations fight against it hosting animals and seeking adoptions for them.

ASV teachers Ms. Jackie Paarhuis and Ms. Isabel Castro coordinated the talk and the closing round of students’ questions about veterinary care, dogs’ training or sterilization. ASV supports SOS Sagunto by visiting the shelter and collecting funds organizing weekly bake sales in January.
