Our English Language Learners Program is addressed to students of any language level. We take advantage of all of the exciting learning opportunities offered by the summer season to help children to improve their English knowledge in a fun and engaging way.

The program combines English classes, creative workshops, swimming pool time, sports, special events and trips.

The groups are made by age, English level and student relationships from previous years and the school they come from.

For the English classes students use textbooks and audiovisual materials, as well as science platforms and art projects.

During the English classes teachers work on the four language acquisition fundamentals: writing, reading, speaking and comprehension.

Levels

Preschool (18 months to 5 years)

In this program children will find opportunities to investigate, explore and discover using a textbook designed exclusively for our program with themed weeks and activities adapted to each age.

The children participate in outdoor sport activities every day and go to the pool twice a week. In addition, every Friday there is a special event to celebrate what has been learned during that week in an entertaining way while putting in practice the knowledge acquired

Elementary School (6 to 12 years)

This program combines the ASV teaching philosophy with the National Geographic Society english language learning curriculum. Each week children work around a specific theme related to the areas in which National Geographic is a reference: geography, nature and wildlife, people around the world…. The contents of the textbook and the complementary multimedia material help students increase their vocabulary and gain fluency in the English language.

Student progress is continually evaluated in terms of learning and participation in class. Alongside English language learning, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is used to help students understand the schools four Values Come Prepared, Act Responsibly, Respect Other and Engage in Learning.

Time each day is also devoted to sports activities including a daily opportunity to use the ASV pool.

Teens (13 to 17 years)

This program is focused on developing communication, creative, and critical thinking skills. Students are immersed in English whilst focusing on projects and activities presented by the National Geographic English Language curriculum.

In addition, the program is complemented by a sports program where students participate in a variety  of team and individual sport activities, including a daily opportunity to use the ASV pool.
