A new edition of the ASV Summer Program started and we are happy to see more than 600 students enjoying this learning experience. During the first days our teachers put all their effort into making children feel comfortable and engaged. Team-building games and the opening lessons are a good way to ensure everyone gets involved and is open to students coming from different schools.
Specifically at ASV, Monday morning is used to explore the school campus and learn about the PBIS expectations in the common areas. On the other hand, in Preschool groups, assistants and student volunteers are a valuable asset so the little ones adapt to the routines and feel always accompanied.
The Fourth of July or Independence Day is a very important holiday in the American calendar and it was the first special activity scheduled in the ASV Summer Program.
On Thursday, students and teachers were invited to wear red, white or blue clothes. Elementary and High School groups made handicrafts based on popular American symbols (Uncle Sam, the Statue of Liberty …) and learned about the meaning of the date throughout special activities and projects
