Summer Program Training

American School of Valencia is preparing a new edition of the ASV Summer Program. On Friday, June 8, 2018, we held a Training Day for teachers and other staff members (read more here) and this week families of students are receiving detailed information on schedules, groups, bus routes, and other areas. Let’s start with a few messages on groups, materials and rules at the swimming pool!

Student Handbook

Students Placement

Families of enrolled students are receiveing this week an email containing the final class placement for 2018. Check your inbox and meet the teacher and your child’s schedule. Those families using the bus service have received detailed information on their bus route.

Which materials should my child bring?

Here is a basic materials list for any student in the ASV Summer Program:

  • Towel
  • Flip-flops
  • Bathing Suit
  • Sunscreen (recommended to apply at home before school)
  • Goggles (recommended)
  • Bathing cap (the school will provide one)
  • Cap (the school will provide one)

Children in Preschool must bring inflatable arm bands. These other materials are specific for the mentioned grade levels:

  • Nursery and Prekinder 1 (born in 2014, 2015, and 2016): A sheet or blanket for nap time, a small pack of wet wipes, diappers and water diapers (if applicable) and a complete change of clothes.
  • Elementary and High School: pencil case, sport shoes or sandals with rubber sole adequate for sports, water shoes for special events and a small healthy snack.

Everything has to be labeled with name and last name. Read detailed information on page 6 of the student handbook.
