Small World Initiative Symposium

The Grade 11 Biology students were invited on Friday, May 4, 2018, to present at the Small World Initiative Symposium, an scientific event organized by CEU Cardenal Herrera University to review and close the antibiotic research project developed in collaboration with five schools in Valencia.

The event included presentations made by the students summing up their research and offering an interesting feedback on the activity. Participation certificates were granted to students (90 in total), teachers (representing the schools), as well as the undergraduate students and the UCH teachers involved.

SWI leaders remarked the value of “developing real research work” with Baccalaureate students and “raising awareness on a global challenge such as resistance to antibiotics”. They also appreciated the enthusiasm of the schools from the very beginning.
