American School of Valencia is pleased to share the results of our Grade 12 students who completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. The 2023 results are visually displayed on this infographic:
The final grade of each candidate is a combination of the external exams taken in May 2023 and a number of internal assessments held throughout the two years of the IB Diploma Program.
IB graduates may apply for a Spanish university with their final grade although they can optionally take one or several subjects of the UNED PCE (Pruebas de Competencia Específicas) Exams. On the other hand, IB graduates applying abroad, usually base their admission in the predicted grades estimated in February-March and the prestige of the IB Diploma Program.
The 2023 cohort following the High School American Diploma in combination with the PCE itinerary received their results by late June. The group has achieved the highest Entrance Grade Mean in the school’s 43 year history with an outstanding 8.87 out of 10, or a 12:24 out of 14.
