American School of Valencia has received a certificate of recognition from the NGO Action Against Hunger for the donations collected this past June 2021 among Middle School families and other members of the school community.
In a year of restrictions due to the COVID pandemic, ASV decided to support the NGO by combining two events: a virtual challenge on Strava (from May to June 2021) and an athletic event on campus the last week of classes. The level of participation was noteworthy: 41 members of the school community registered 1925 kilometers running, walking or riding while, on June 16, 2021, students and teachers completed 435 kilometers running around the school campus.
Thank you to all of the students, families and staff who participated in and supported this worthwhile event to combat hunger and support the work of this NGO in The Philippines.
