We are asking for volunteers to assist with our reading support program, which will start in October. This is an opportunity for parents and high school students to read individually with students at the elementary level. Typically, the students our volunteers work with are beginning readers or students in need of additional assistance with literacy development. The time commitment is generally 15-20 minutes each week.
For this program to be successful we need volunteers who are native speakers of either Spanish or English.
Volunteering in this manner is of great assistance to our students. Teachers really appreciated your cooperation last year and they are looking forward to resuming this initiative in the near future. Please contact Ms. Librada in the office if interested.
