As VALMUN, the ASV Model United Nations conference is approaching, delegates and chairs continue working diligently on their tasks and documents. This week, VALMUN’s Secretary General Timothy B. shared that delegates “are moving on to writing their resolutions–formal documents consisting of at least five proposed solutions to a certain topic within their committee”. The next and final step will be “writing their opening speeches that will introduce their country and outline their country’s perspective on each topic during the conference.”
Throughout the past few weeks, chairs and president chairs have been helping and guiding delegates through their preparation process. “Overall, we have seen great enthusiasm and effort from all parties involved in the conference, I believe that we are set up for success to discuss and formulate effective solutions to pressing global issues,” Timothy B. says.
