PBIS Parent Workshop with Dr. George Sugai

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 19:00-20:30, Dr. George Sugai will conduct a parent workshop about the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Program.  PBIS was an initiative ASV began in 2015-1016 in Preschool and Elementary and which was well-received by parents and staff.  Consequently, ASV has initiated the school wide implementation of PBIS in High School as well.

PBIS is a framework to provide for a proactive approach to school wide behavior and expectations.  It focuses on creating and sustaining a positive environment for achieving important social and learning outcomes, while helping to prevent behavioral issues. PBIS is used in approximately 7,000 schools worldwide.

Currently, 13 ASV staff members serve on the PBIS Implementation Team, and they are working with the most accomplished expert in the field, Dr. George Sugai from the University of Connecticut.

All ASV parents are welcome to attend this exceptionally informative workshop, and ASV is privileged to have an opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Sugai.
