The Middle School and High School English Department invited students in Grades 6-8 and Grade 10 to keep pandemic journals where they reflect on their experiences. Students are required to compose one entry a week where questions guide their thinking but are encouraged to write more.
Students’ journal entries include writing or other virtual media, and reflections follow a list of topics chosen by the English teachers: life in the pandemic, learning from home, finding the silver lining in difficult situations, and family closeness, among others.
Students in Grades 8-10 are also invited to comment, via Padlet, on other ASV journals and on journals from students in schools in Florida (United States) and Dubai (UAE), who are developing similar projects.
Well done!
