We invite the ASV Community to give a warm welcome to Mr. Camilo Montenegro, our newly appointed Innovation and Technology Coordinator. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Mr. Montenegro is bilingual in English and Spanish, and has taught History, Digital Media, IT Literacy and Language Arts in several international and bilingual schools in Mexico City. For the last three years he was Technology Director at Peterson Schools overseeing IT Infrastructure and Curriculum for its four campuses.
In his role as Innovation and Technology Coordinator, Mr. Montenegro aims to “keep the excellent integration of technology on our campus , while at the same time developing in our students a deeper comprehension of the ethical challenges of technology for today’s world.” Currently in High School, he is teaching a new course known as Digital Entrepreneurship in Grades 9 and 10. “We are focusing this course on the study of what is behind a successful technology company, which is much more than software development”.
