MSA Visiting Team

American School of Valencia is hosting a Middle States Association (MSA) Visiting Team on Sunday, November 10, 2019, until Thursday, November 14, 2019, as part of its seven-year accreditation process.   Their work begins today with a tour of the ASV campus and a meeting with the Planning Team that has written the Technical Review and Self-Study, as well as members of the High School Student Council and Board of Governors.

On Monday to Thursday,  the MSA Visiting Team will conduct a series of observations and hold meetings with a wide variety of school stakeholders, including students, parents, Board of Governors, teachers and other staff members.  Approximately 25 separate meetings are scheduled during the week and along with the Self-Study and observations of the school’s operations, the MSA Visiting Team will validate their findings and report them to MSA after the visit.

ASV has been preparing for this accreditation visit throughout 2018-2019 by preparing a Self-Study and a review process led by the MSA Planning Team and our Internal Coordinator, Ms. Jackie Paarhuis.  This week the students in Middle School and High School attended informative assemblies to better understand the upcoming visit by MSA.

ASV will be informed of its accreditation status in May 2020 after a thorough and multi-tiered review process by MSA.  In the meantime, thank you to all school stakeholders for your support and commitment to ASV.
