American School of Valencia will be hosting a Middle States Association (MSA) Visiting Team on Monday, November 11, 2019 until Thursday, November 14, 2019 as part of its seven year accreditation process. The Visiting Team are volunteers who come from five different countries and international schools. They will conduct observations and have meetings with a wide variety of school stakeholders, including students, parents, Board of Governors, teachers and other staff members. They will also review a key piece of this process, the ASV Self-Study, which is a comprehensive analysis of all areas of school operations and curriculum.
ASV has been preparing for this visit throughout 2018-2019, held multiple meetings with all school stakeholders, and the Self-Study and accreditation review process has been led by the Planning Team and our Internal Coordinator, Ms. Jackie Paarhuis. ASV staff have been diligently preparing for the accreditation visit and a team activity in connection with the accreditation process was conducted during a Staff Meeting on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Middle School and High School students will also attend special informative assemblies on November 4, 7 and 8, 2019 to better understand the upcoming visit by MSA.
