This week, American School of Valencia hosted the Iberian League Middle School Soccer and Basketball Girls Tournaments. The event took place in our athletic facilities on Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, and featuring soccer and basketball teams representing four international schools: American School of Barcelona (ASB), American School of Madrid (ASM), Benjamin Franklin International School (BFIS), as well as ASV.
Our student-athletes had a brilliant performance in the soccer tournament, beating ASB in the final 4-1. Our Grade 8 Basketball Team finished runners-up after losing to ASM in the final game, while our Grade 6 Basketball Team competed and fought well in their first tournament.
This event generated a lot of school spirit where all our school community came together to show our ASV difference.
In the meanwhile, our ASV boys teams represented our school in the boys section, which took place in the American School of Barcelona on the same dates. Both the basketball and soccer teams had very good performances and finished fourth, with Javier M and Tiago S selected in the All-Star team.
