International Mother Language Day – UNESCO

On February, 21, 2000 UNESCO created the International Mother Language Day to highlight world’s cultural and linguistic diversity and to inspire understanding, tolerance and dialogue among the nations. Since 2007, our High School community celebrates a special assembly around that date where they remember the importance of languages and they share the plurality of the ASV community.

Coordinated by the French teacher, Ms. Elena Martí, the students in grade 11 prepared a poetry show reading poems in multiple languages. They also showed a video where couples of ASV students learn together common expressions in English, French, Spanish, Valencian, Italian, Russian, Turkish, Portuguese, Korean and other languages.
