This past week, ASV student-athletes showcased their talent and teamwork in the Iberia League soccer and volleyball tournaments. In their final competition of the year, the High School girls’ soccer team finished as runners-up, while the boys secured fourth place. Ester C. and Héctor A. were honored with selection to the All-Star team.
ASV proudly competed in the Volleyball Tournament in Barcelona with four teams: Middle School girls, Junior-Varsity girls, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys. The Junior-Varsity and Varsity girls finished in fourth place, while the Middle School girls secured an impressive third place.
The highlight of the tournament was the Varsity boys’ team, who showcased outstanding teamwork and skill to become champions, defeating ASB 2-0 in the final as redemption for last year’s loss.
Several ASV players—Malia C., Ellison B., Ainhoa N., and Timothy B.—earned spots on the All-Star team. Additionally, ASV was honored with the Iberia Sportsmanship Award.
