Lucia G., a journalism student at ASV, was awarded a position on the MUNITY press team at THIMUN. Acceptance into this program is highly competitive as hundreds of highly experienced students from around the world apply. Last week Lucia received an email saying that she was accepted as part of the print team: “I’m surprised and very happy. I could not believe that, and I had to read the message again before being conscious,” Lucía told.
During the THIMUN 2018, Lucía will work taking photos for the official newspaper MUNITY. “I love photography. I like the way the camera catches the moment, and make you feel multiple emotions,” the student explained. It also has a role on world changes: “A good picture can change people’s view and set a milestone.”
We could not be more proud of her and are so excited for her to have this amazing experience! Lucia will join 13 other ASV student delegates who will be representing our school as the delegation of Colombia at THIMUN’s 50th-anniversary model united nations conference at the end of January.
