Thursday, June 11 saw the announcement of the High School Sports People of the Year awards. One boy and one girl from each grade were selected based on a criteria which included:
- Excellent level of sports performance
- Consistently play sport the ASV way
- Displays sportspersonlike conduct on and off the playing area
- Shows respect for the coach, referee and his/her teammates
- Shows a positive example to their teammates
- Is in good standing with good school behaviour
A number of students were nominated by the award by Athletic Director Mr Ojelade based on their work in PE lessons, extra-curricular activities, sports events organised throughout the year and their conduct in school.
