ASV students had a great week again at the Community School of Naples. They were fortunate to have a special field trip planned at Florida Gulf State University where they participated in an environmental science project constructing reefs out of recycled ice hockey sticks.
The reefs will help to improve the ecosystems of the waters that they are placed in. The project is sponsored by the National Hockey League and more information can be found at www.rink2reef.com. After the science workshop, the group went to have some free time and lunch at a nearby beach. The exchange has been amazing and our students can’t wait for their new friends to visit Valencia in March.
