Erika Marin-Spiotta (class of 1993), currently associate professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, was awarded the 2016 Sulzman Award for Excellence in Education and Mentoring (read more here). This award is given for “significant contributions by a mid-career female scientist as a role model and mentor for the next generation of biogeoscientists.” Ms. Marin-Spiotta will receive the award in an upcoming scientific conference in San Francisco, California.
