The Puçol Security Committee, an emergency body including the Mayor of Puçol, the head of the Municipal Police, and Protección Civil, has decided to close all of the schools in Puçol from October 18, 2018, as of 14:30, and on Friday, October 19, 2018. The decision, in order to prevent any issue due to the forecasted rain, has been communicated throughout a public announcement (edicto) you can read below.
Having been informed about the decision and given that our school is located within the affected area, American School of Valencia is following this instruction and wants to announce that:
- There will not be classes on Friday, October 19, 2018.
- If you decide your child is leaving now and you are available, you may come to the school campus and request at the school office an early departure. The allowed time for this departure will finish at 16:00.
- If you are not available to come, students will leave the school at 16:30 as it is usual and the bus service will operate without any additional incidence.

Update at 18:30. We are happy to report that Most of our buses completed their route on schedule; just a few had a short delay due to the traffic conditions. Remember that all of the schools in Puçol will be closed tomorrow October 19, 2018.
