The ASV Community Says Goodbye to the Class of 2026
American School of Valencia proudly celebrated the Graduation and Awards Ceremony of the Class of 2026 on Friday, June 5, 2026. The ceremony, held at the Athletic Center, brought together graduates, families, faculty-staff, administrators, and a remarkable number of returning ASV Alumni. The event is also the 34th graduation in the school’s history, which has seen 1565 earn the privilege of calling themselves ASV Graduates since its first graduating class in 1993.
As it is tradition, the ceremony began with the Salutatorian speech, which was followed by other words by the President of the ASV Board of Governors, Mr. Israel Garcia; the ASV Director, Mr. Michael L. Smith; and Mr. Josep Vicent Frechina, MS-HS Assistant Director. The event finished with the Valedictorian speech.
All those words had in common the recognition of the effort, determination and excellence shown by all of the members of this new graduating class. In his speech, Mr. Frechina encorauged graduates to dedicate their lives to something worthwhile, cultivating authentic relationships, and finding a purpose that goes beyond themselves. Mr. Smith invited them to stay connected to ASV by being active members of the Alumni community, mentors, Career Day speakers, or future volunteers of community events.
