A number of towns in Valencia have been experiencing severe weather conditions since Monday evening.
Although the Puçol and Los Monasterios area were not severely affected, based on multiple inputs, the school must cancel classes and activities on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 due to the following:
- The local authorities (Generalitat Valenciana throughout the Valencian Emergencies Agency) have requested to not travel in the Valencia province.
- Road conditions have caused the impossibility of operating eight (8) bus routes, and neither the school nor bus companies can assure access to the remaining bus routes and bus stops at this time.
- The school would like to ensure that all students, families, faculty-staff and service providers are safe and secure due to these unusual, unpredictable and extreme weather conditions.
Consequently, the American School of Valencia would like to inform all families that ASV will be closed and no classes or activities will be held today, Wednesday, October 30, 2024. All students must stay at home.
