Students in Grades 9 through 12 participated in a new edition of the ASV Career Day, an orientation activity organized by the HS Counseling Service. Forty-one speakers, combining professionals and former students, visited our school to offer talks describing their careers and the university degrees leading to them. Representatives of some universities with campus in Valencia and Madrid also joined the panel of speakers. Majors such as Engineering, Medicine, Biomedicine, Sports, Law, Public Relations and Communications, Nutrition, among others, were available to learn more about. Each student was able to choose two workshops.
This edition had an interesting combination of youth and experience. The speakers who are professionals offered an insight on their work life but also shared why they enjoy their jobs and why they would choose again these careers. Those guest who are also university professors added important information about curriculums, dual degrees, and knowledge of languages. On the other hand, our alumni talked about life at university and how to be successful but enjoy and the same time their studies.
We appreciate the time shared by our guests and we hope they enjoyed the interaction with our High School students. We also wish that our students have now valuable and precise information to choose a future career.
