The Grade 11 Biology class is participating in the exciting search for new natural antibiotics in collaboration with the Small World Initiative and the CEU-Cardenal Herrera University.
The activity is taking place in February 2023. The SWICEU team led by Dr. Beatriz Suay (member of the ASV graduating class of 2010) is guiding our students in five lab sessions in which they learn how to culture soil samples to find antibiosis, an indicator of potential use to develop future medicines.
Students had last week the introductory session and the first lab work day. Read more on the results of the 2022 edition and stay tuned to upcoming stories.
