Fourteen students in Grades 9 and 10 traveled to Maui (Hawaii, United States) on April 8, 2023, to complete the second part of the Global Exchange Program established between Seabury Hall and the American School of Valencia. Our teachers Ms. Athanasiadou and Ms. Nonay led the group as chaperones.
In return for what was done in Valencia in March, our students were hosted by the families of their exchange peers. According to the Seabury Hall academic calendar, they combined days of regular classes -as the school celebrated the Spring Break earlier than ASV- and some outdoor activities organized by the host school.
“This global opportunity has been a great gift for students to learn about new cultures, to travel, and to get to know different people. Having the chance to experience this hand-to-hand with their host families has made their stay on this island even more intense. Many students have created friendships that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives,” Ms. Alina Athanasiadou described.
The ASV group returned on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at 18:00.
