On behalf of the American School of Valencia Foundation, we would like to invite our school community to the BBQ Party on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 18:00-23:00 in Park C. The event will include access to the swimming pool for children, a magic show, live music with two bands, and a silent auction of ASV student artwork. Funds raised from this event will support local scholarships in the ASV Summer Program, Model United Nations Programs and other Foundation activities throughout the academic year.
The BBQ Party will begin at 18:00. While a delicious dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs with cold drinks is being prepared, the swimming pool will be open for children and students from the Berklee School of Music will perform live music. After the dinner, we will enjoy a magic show and more live music. Everyone is also invited to participate in the silent auction of artwork created by ASV students in Grades 1 through 10. Please visit the hallway off Park B, next to the ASV Computer Labs, and bid on the items displayed by writing down an amount on the attached cards.
The BBQ Party is open to everyone who wishes to attend. Space is limited, so please do not wait to purchase your tickets at the Foundation office at ASV. The 20 Euro entry fee will support te ASV Foundation activities, such as:
Eight (8) scholarships in ASV’s Summer Program in July 2015 for local students from Puçol in order that they can study in English.Support for Model United Nations programs (VALMUN, MADMUN and THIMUN). MUN’s are an academic simulation of the United Nations intended to educate students from the participating international schools about current events, international relations, diplomacy and the United Nations program.Other ASV Foundation activities such as: promoting bilingual education, providing access to study in the United States through informative workshops and fairs, offering a multitude of venues for community service opportunities, supporting Kapita School in Zambia, and organizing Halloween . . . to name just a few.
