American School of Valencia was invited to present the ASV Eco School Initiative at the Observatorio ODS, a discussion forum on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and their implementation along a variety of public and private projects. The event was organized by El Español, a Spanish digital news site, and the Valencia City Council on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. It offered a video streaming service and has now an online recap here.
ASV was the only school invited and was represented by Mr. Samuel Landete (Innovation and Technology Director) at the round-table talk “Capital verde como referente”. Mr. Landete highlighted that the ASV Eco School Initiative is “a student-centered project, in which students choose the focus areas and lead the design, the implementation and the evaluation”. A long-term vision of earning the Eco School distinction requires four years and contributes to developing “meaningful actions whose impact will be perceived by the school community”.
