ASV’s school director, Mr. Michael L. Smith, has been appointed to serve on the Middle States Association’s International Schools Advisory Committee, which is comprised of twelve international school directors. International Schools Advisory is charged with the responsibility of reviewing the team reports from accreditation visiting teams and subsequently making accreditation recommendations to the Middle States Association, Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools.
The Middle States Association (MSA) is the oldest accrediting association in the United States, established in 1887, and makes its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). MSA accredits over 3,000 schools in 85 countries and actively promotes growth through self-reflection, a culture of planning and the self-study accreditation process. ASV has been an MSA accredited school since its founding in 1980.
