ASV Day 2016. Thank You for Making it Possible!

American School of Valencia held its annual community day on Saturday, October 8, 2016.  The school campus opened at 11:30 and families could enjoy the majority of scheduled activities as of 12:00 h.  Young children had an age-appropriate offer at the Preschool parks, including  face painting and colorful handicrafts.  Inflatable rides, the dunk tank, and other stands were placed in parks A and B.  We had original activities such as the Science Meets Arts tent, a clay workshop led by Jumping Clay, and the robotics stand prepared by Ingenio Kids, school partner at the ASV+ Program.

This year the paella contest area was moved to the parking lot. Participants prepared their recipes while the Colevisa staff prepared the 7 paellas (each one for 150 people) needed at the dining hall. From 13 to 15 this room was full of parents and children having the ASV Day official menu.

The most eagerly awaited event was the raffle. We had great prizes including two GoPro cameras, hotel and dinner tickets, tennis rackets, and a bike. We appreciate the generosity of our sponsors, without them this part of the day could not be possible. A huge thanks to many staff members, parents, and students, who volunteered during the ASV Day.
