Apple Representatives Visited ASV

American School of Valencia hosted representatives from Apple on Thursday, October 5, 2017, to learn more about the ways in which  ASV is implementing Apple technology.  The Apple representatives held  a meeting with Mr. Michael L. Smith (Director), Mr. Samuel Landete (IT Coordinator), and Ms. Rosemarie Lima (Grade 1B Teacher).

During their discussion, the current implementation of Apple devices and future lines of cooperation were discussed. Mr. Smith and Mr. Landete talked about the school’s  technology vision, and Ms. Lima described how teachers are using Apple apps to connect classroom content with the standards-based curriculum.  Mr. Smith and Apple also discussed the research  and future implementation of augmented reality and virtual reality into the ASV curriculum.

Apple representatives visited the new classrooms in Grades 1 and 2, as well as the high school classroom to see the examples of how flexible learning spaces merge with technology integration.
