Annual Visual Arts Exhibition

High School teachers and students gathered on Thursday, April 10, 2025, to celebrate an important achievement for those students following the IB Visual Arts course: the opening of the Annual Visual Arts Exhibition! The event took place at the school atrium, the place chosen this year to showcase the amazing work done by Santiago A., Wuyang G. and Hana Z.

“As part of the Visual Arts Course, students must prepare an exhibition of their own artwork developed during the two years of the International Baccalaureate,” Art Teacher Ms. Jackie Paarhuis explained.

Each student elects a theme and develops a plan which gives cohesion to a variety of works and techniques. This year’s exhibition features an exploration of life using butterflies as a motif (Wuyang G.), a varied set of drawings and multimedia art fusing basketball and the language of superhero comics (Santiago A) and a collection of illustrations of whimsical creatures that convey social issues (Hana Z.)

Students, staff and visitors will be able to enjoy this display three more days, until Wednesday, April 17, 2025.
