Announcement of the MAIS Robert Sills Student Award 2019-2020

The Mediterranean Association of International Schools (MAIS) has announced the annual finalists and semi-finalists of the 2019-2020 Robert Sills Student Award.

American School of Valencia is pleased to share that Maria K. (Grade 7) has been selected as a finalist, and Megan M. The MAIS Sills Award award is “intended to recognize those young people who model the character traits that MAIS values most in its students: persistence, a willingness to take risks, acceptance of other cultures and points of view, and a genuine interest in a sustained commitment to the welfare of others.”

MAIS promotes global understanding, educational cooperation and the advancement of an international mindset among its 44 member schools from 17 different countries, including Austria, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

The MAIS Sills Award Selection Committee feels privileged in receiving numerous applications and portfolios from MAIS member schools.
