American School of Valencia proudly hosted the AISiS AI-Enhanced Literacy Symposium, a professional development opportunity for teachers, led by literacy experts Dr. Mary Ehrenworth and Phillip Seyfried, co-authors of AI-Enhanced Literacy. The activity gathered on Friday, December 12, and Saturday, December 13, educators from all of the schools members of American International Schools in Spain (AISiS) to learn how to prepare students for an AI-powered future.
The symposium guided attendees through practical strategies for integrating AI into instruction—helping teachers understand current AI tools, create AI-enhanced classroom spaces, and develop students’ critical thinking about and with AI.
Two ASV educators – Ms. KyleAnne Kiraly and Mr. Samuel Landete – facilitated workshops at the Symposium and shared with participants specific strategies ASV has taken in order to enhance teaching and learning at our school.
