ASV invites educators to deepen into a consistent and balanced use of Artificial Intelligence
American School of Valencia will host a professional workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enhanced Literacies on May 27 and 28, 2026, open to current and future educators interested in a deeper understanding of AI and its implementation into literacy curriculum. This learning opportunity led by Dr. Mary Ehrenworth and Mr. Phil Seyfried will be focused on “moving beyond sporadic AI experiments” to build a “coherent, scaffolded literacy experience for students that build student confidence and wisdom”, Director of Teaching Learning and Curriculum Ms. Amanda Bird describes.
The workshop is open to educators in international schools, interested teachers working in local schools, and university students with future career opportunities in education. The workshop will be conducted in English, using AI-Enhanced Literacy, the most recent book published by Dr. Ehrenworth and Mr. Seyfried.
ASV is developing a thoughtful, ethical, and progressive implementation of AI in the curriculum as part of the Responsible for AI in Learning (RAIL) Endorsement granted by the Middle States Association in 2025.
